Land clearing
Land clearing in Florida
Land clearing in Florida is the removal of trees, palmetto, brush, stumps and debris from a parcel so it can be graded, built on, farmed or maintained. KLN Land Development LLC clears residential lots, acreage and commercial sites statewide, and estimates are always free.

What land clearing includes
- Tree, palmetto and understory brush removal
- Stump grinding or full stump and root removal
- Root raking and debris grubbing
- Mulching, burning where permitted, or haul-off
- Rough grade and drainage direction after clearing
- Building pad, driveway and fence line prep
How a Florida clearing job runs
1. Walk the parcel
We look at access for equipment, tree size and density, wetland or flag lines, utilities, and where debris can be staged or hauled.
2. Confirm the scope
Selective clearing or full clear, stumps ground or removed, root raking, and how far down you need it cleaned up before grading.
3. Handle the debris
Mulching in place, burning where a permit allows it, or hauling off. In much of Florida this is the single biggest cost lever on the job.
4. Leave it build-ready
Rough grade, drainage direction, and a surface a builder, surveyor or fence crew can actually work on the next morning.
What drives the price
Acreage is only part of it. Dense oak and pine with large trunks takes far longer than palmetto scrub. Stumps left in the ground are cheaper than stumps pulled. Wet ground, sand versus clay, tight access, and how far debris has to travel all move the number. That's why we look at the parcel before quoting instead of publishing a per-acre rate that would be wrong on most jobs.
Permits and wetlands
Clearing rules in Florida vary by county and city, and protected trees, wetland lines and right-of-way work each have their own requirements. We confirm the permitting authority and who pulls which permit before work is scheduled.

- How much does land clearing cost in Florida?
- It depends on acreage, how dense the growth is, whether stumps are pulled or ground, and where the debris goes. We price after seeing the parcel, and the estimate is free.
- How long does it take to clear a lot?
- A typical quarter-acre to one-acre homesite is usually a matter of days rather than weeks, but density, stumps, debris handling and wet ground all change that. We give a schedule with the estimate.
- Do you remove stumps too?
- Stump handling is priced as part of the scope. Grinding, full removal and leaving them in place are different jobs with different costs, so we confirm which one you need up front.
